Here’s a look at campaigns currently in market

Kellogg’s and Cartoon Network
Cartoon Network Text Messaging Trivia Game appears on Kellogg’s cereal and snack boxes. By sending the word "PLAY" to the number 8282, AT&T Wireless subscribers can answer questions about popular characters, including Scooby Doo, Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory, and Ed, Edd, n Eddy.

On an ongoing basis, AT&T Wireless customers can participate in a sweepstakes by sending the word "WIN" to the number 9292 between now and September 5, 2005. The grand prize winner will receive a Mazda MPV Minivan customized to resemble the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine.

McDonald’s
This fast food chain’s grab bags now feature a question on Olympic Game trivia that can be answered through text by AT&T Wireless subscribers. Participants simply reply to the question on the bag by sending a text to the number 2004 with their letter choice in the body of the message.

The History Channel
Viewers can now use their cell phones to interact with two new shows, Decisive Battles and Command Decisions. Participants receive texts by signing up at www.history.com or they can register via cell phone by texting the word “HISTORY” to the cross-carrier short code 84288.

Chicago Tribune
The crossword puzzle in the Chicago Tribune will profile a new text mechanic to receive answers. For $.99, users can receive up to three answers on the cross-carrier short code 25837.

Snapple
As part of their ongoing Snaffle bottle cap promotion, registered consumers can receive weekly text messages, sent Thursdays at lunchtime, to notify them of the week’s winning numbers.
